An anonymous reader writes "This Intel-written whitepaper introduces a way to determine location with the aid of freely accessible, nearby radio sources, such as fixed Bluetooth devices, 802.11 access points, and GSM cell towers. Basically, the device reads the IDs of these local 'radio beacons' (each of which has a unique or semi-unique ID), looks up their positions in a locally-cached database, and performs a computation akin to triangulation. Intel created Place Lab in an effort to satisfy the emerging requirement for location-awareness within mobile devices such as smartphones, PDAs, and laptops, or even moving vehicles. According to the whitepaper, over four million of the required radio beacons have already been mapped."

    Dear Graduate Student,

    I am a pharmacy student of India holding a BACHELORS degree from a reputed college of Gujarat State(B.M.Shah college of pharmacy). I have a GPA of 4 on a 4 point scale. I have got good marks in all the subjects throughout my pharmacy studies and am a throughout DISTINCTION STUDENT.

    I also had a research paper published in the INDIAN JOURNAL OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES during my bachelor's studies....and have done paper presentations TWO times...

    I am going to give GRE and TOEFL in DEC 2005 and will apply for FALL 2006 INTAKE. I am interested in pursuing a graduate program at your college (M.S/PhD)-(Preferably PhD)

      I require information about:

    (1) How many International students were admitted in the program last year??What was your GRE n TOEFL score when you were admitted???

    (2) What as per you helped you in getting admission??

    (3) What are the criteria for financial aid? Can I give TSE for T.A. or R.A after reaching there??

    (4) What are my chances of getting admission directly to PhD?? Should I apply to MS or PhD??

    (5) How is the climate round the year? Is it suitable for studies??

    (6) Is it possible to cope up with the expenses if in case I don't get a financial help from the college??

    (7) What is the exact expense for a year including fees, living cost, food etc

    (8) What are the job prospects in your area after the completion of a degree??
