MySQL 5 Production in November

thatoneguyfromphoeni writes "CIO.com is reporting that MySQL AB is eyeing Nov. for the production release of MySQL 5. 'The company is calling version 5 its most significant upgrade yet. It adds a handful of features considered important for enterprises that have long been available from market leaders Oracle Corp., IBM Corp. and Microsoft Corp. Chief among them are triggers, views and stored procedures.'"

    MySQL is good for your lightweight apps, but if you need a heavy-duty backend for a web-app, give PostgreSQL a try.

    I am John Titor. Following the second Civil War, a fair number of corporations were dismantled in order to rebuild the infrastructure of the United States. Oracle was among them. Their enterprise database product was donated to the open-source movement, and I am proud to say that it has made my time machine unbreakable.

    Ellison himself was last seen piloting the Rising Sun out of an American harbor. Bald and emaciated, he took control of his luxury vessel, desperately attempting to swamp the pirates following closely in his wake...
