No Modification PSP TV Adapter

Craig writes "PSP Owners have long been interested in watching the UMD films and playing games on the TV, well now according to a report from Lik Sang they can, the new PSPTV being produced eventually by Gametech will be a no modification addon. From the article: 'The TV Adapter for PSP lets you hook up your PSP to your home television (NTSC and PAL) via Composite or S-Video and Stereo connectors. This adapter requires no modification of your PSP console. This new peripheral takes a completely different approach and clips on top of your PSP screen, with two screws to fit at the back of the handheld (in these two holes you can see on the top of the UMD drive). Some sort of pyramid grows from the base, with a precision lens and mirror system at the top, capturing the image and light, in a similar way a scanner or camera would. It then converts it into a video signal that is sent through video leads going from the adapter to your TV set.'"

Actually, you're reading a fairly wealthy man's critiques of products he wouldn't by, while he's reading your stupid trollish response on his 17" powerbook in his office.

Now, the question is, if I'm going to waste money supporting the MPAA for a movie that I'm only going to watch a couple times, why am I going to do it with a stupid UMD that I can only watch on my 2" PSP screen instead of my 17" laptop or on one of my two 30" apple cinema displays or my 50" widescreen HDTV? Wherever I go, either my Thinkpad running debian or my powerbook is with me. And thanks, but I'd really rather pop in a DVD (or xvid) and watch it on my 17" than close up the laptop and enjoy the amazing "like really being there!" 2" screen PSP.

But hey, if you'd rather waste all of your money on a stupid UMD collection that you'll never get any use out of instead of buying really cool shit, that's fine with me. That's the difference between being cool and being trendy.

By the way, I hope you're enjoying your NGAGE, pussy.

I think the games are diff'rent, read "incompatible".

Naw, PSP games are just conversions of the same games that weren't that good on the PS2 a few years ago.

Why pay twice as much money for games that are gimped versions of their plugged in bretheren? Especially if you're only going to spend more money on a device to display it on a television.

Would it be equally fun if you replace "blondes" with "Polacks"?

    How about "jews"?

    "Blacks"?
