Crusader writes "id Software has released the Linux client and server for Quake 4. There's a FAQ page with installation instructions, notes, and download links."
Damn, I knew I was checking RAM prices this morning for a reason!:D **WOOOT** I'm rebuilding my PC with a dual boot Linux/XP system (can't VPN in from Linux), and will love it love it love it!:D YAY!!

Thanks to Eclipse, I've pretty much migrated my company's game development over to Linux.
The NVidia OpenGL Linux drivers appear to be up to date and very good.
Honestly, I would have prefered OS X but the Apple OpenGL drivers ARE A FUCKING PATHETIC JOKE. KDE compared to OS X is painful to use. And I sorely miss Cocoa and Interface Builder. Although I do hope there is a special place in hell for the people responsible for Xcode at Apple...
We'll still ship for Microsoft OS's of course, but it is a nice clean feeling to not have to touch that crap on a daily basis anymore.
Just get me a native Linux version of iTunes and I'll be set...

Demo? You can get the playable warez copy from your favorite BT site;)
I actually preorderd mine, but I have some friends that need to play it first to be sure that their rigs can take it.

Apparently the moderators didn't feel the same.
It's just a shame I couldn't get those lines to integrate with the parent.
