Trip Hawkins Blasts Everybody
An anonymous reader writes "Trip Hawkins, founder of EA, sent in a hilarious two page letter to the editor in response to last week's Trip Hawkins is the Antichrist article in the Escapist. Among the Tripisms is a call for the Garriotts to stop being self-righteous about lawsuits and just 'play the game...'" From the article: "This article comes as a bit of a surprise to me. Not the lead quote, because my success with EA did indeed unnerve many competitors who wanted to externalize blame for their problems. But disparaging my commitment to quality, putting words in my mouth, and saying they never would have sold the company if I had been involved - these inaccuracies paint a very wrong picture."
...shut the fuck up. I don't know what you did to people at EA or Origin but I do know what you did to the people at 3DO. I lost thousands of dollars because of you and your lies. You could become a saint tomorrow and your word will still be useless in my and hundreds of other ex-employees' books because of the money you cost us so you could stroke your ego.
Until I get a check for the wages 3DO owes me and everyone else you shafted when 3DO declared bankruptcy TWO DAYS BEFORE PAYROLL you can go straight to fucking hell. Until then you can take your opinion and shove it straight up your ass. You know, where your store your head.
If 3DO is any indication of your treatment of others at EA or Origin, the article in The Escapist was kind.
