How many times must you geeks be told? Gravity has never killed anyone in the history of mankind. It's the drastic change in momentum caused by the earth stopping their free fall. Also it should be mentioned that the oil industry owns stock in these American automobile companies so they have a financial incentive to create gas guzzlers.

Good thing they don't own stock in the Japanese car companies that will be competing with them
