Sony Completes First Full-Length Blu-ray Disc

john writes "Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced that authoring has been completed on the first Blu-ray Disc (BD) to contain a full-length, high-definition feature film. Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle was compressed and authored in MPEG 2 full high-definition (1920 x 1080) and is now being shipped to BD hardware companies for player testing."

    I don't care much for HD-DVD, but I care even less for Sony and Blu-Ray. Now on top of THAT , they are using MPEG-2 compression for video. Jesus Fucking H. in Afghanistan. Those rice eating sons of bitches have been inbreeding for so long, their minds are completely whacked. Someone get some fresh genes in there, STAT!

    Samsung has made some good calls. Taiwan (Liteon) has made some good calls. I'll see what they come up with, later on. Maybe they'll take Blu-Ray and strip that DRM shit out of there. I'd take a look at something like that. Especially if Liton put a MPEG4 encoder in there, and let me record full resolution HDTV. I'd definately take a look at that.
