Cisco Moving On Set-Top Boxes
nevermindme writes "Cisco has agreed to plunk down a whopping $6.9bn for Scientific-Atlanta, hoping to take a major share of the set-top-box market and push video efforts. The networking giant will pay $43 per share in cash for Scientific-Atlanta ($5.3bn) and swallow $1.6bn in debt. With the buy, Cisco acquires one of the more dominant set-top-box makers. In addition, it pushes well beyond the data center to touch consumers where they live."
No wonder there is so much crap on tv.
Republicans: "Put you money where you mouth is you fucking hippies"
Democrats: -Silence-
403 to 3 NO PULLOUT IN IRAQ YOU FUCKS! LOL, Slashdot. Noone represents you thought and the proof is there. You anti-war fucks are just a bunch of screaching whores. Even that fat leftbag Kennedy didn't vote for withdrawl. Though in his defense he was probably passed out drunk somewhere and missed the vote.
I hope high gas prices are depriving your children, you fucking dumbass.
Here is a quote from an article I found interesting, from December 1994
Ooo k. Now from the same article
I've always felt there was something shady going on with the fiber connected set top boxes, normally the multimode fiber lines are only utilizing 0.001% of possible data transfer per strand (they easily set up over the counter filter boxes to multiplex 1 single fiber strand into voice, internet, television, etc -- who want's one single company with access to everything electrically related to what you do? how long will it take said company to be brought under the control of people that can make use of access to that data.)
As said before on
It's such an effective oppressor, we don't even know we're being oppressed, yet.
Both snippits from http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/1994/Decembe
