Hypnosis Gets Positive Recognition
An anonymous reader writes to tell us the New York Times is reporting that, despite its negative history, hypnosis is now getting some favorable attention from neuroscientists. From the article: "These extensive feedback circuits mean that consciousness, what people see, hear, feel and believe, is based on what neuroscientists call "top down processing." What you see is not always what you get, because what you see depends on a framework built by experience that stands ready to interpret the raw information - as a flower or a hammer or a face."

With the utmost of seriousness I recommend you look into the following resource:

Get past the shlock hype of the webpage. Read a few of the 'newsletters' and get the e-books for starters. If you're really serious about changing your life, go for the 'Mastery' DVD series.
There are some entries at wikipedia, but more informative info can be had by reading the 'discussion' pages there.
It's all about you- not about them. Make yourself some good luck!
I first encountered the practice of hypnosis way back in 1997. At the time, I belonged to a small group of friends who shared an interest in open source software. We tinkered with BSD, Linux and the like and occasionally had small forays in the various incarnations of Apple's OS over the years. Everything went fairly normal over the months, the club's weekly meetings of coffee, donuts and Tux being nailed down to almost a routine. Then one day one of my colleagues told me I he had been able to create an audio-visual display that was able, for lack of a better term, hypnotize those that viewed it. Not believing him, I decided to call him out on it and let him test it on me.
It was my first and worst mistake.
You see, most people say that they don't remember what it's like to hypnotized. It's not unlike blacking out when you're drunk, so they say. They say wrong, says I. You remember everything you do when you're under the effects of hypnosis, but it's like someone has wrenched away the control of your body from you. It's not so bad if you're just doing some stupid shit like cartwheels, but what I was made to do was truly appalling. After the damnable open source hypnosis program took hold of me, I was made into a sexual toy for my master. He forced his cock into my mouth and despite my mental protests, my mouth seemed almost eager to massage him small penis. This was only the start. Anal, jerk offs and all manners of homosexual perversions were visited on my body during my week's worth of hypnotic slavery. All of this was taped and traded amongst my master's friends.
Finally, he released me. I don't know, but he turned me out to the streets so I could rebuild my shattered life.
In short, fuck you Linus Torvalds and your open source rape happy gargoyles.
Fucking queers.
