Yahoo! Joins VoIP Throng

Anders Bylund writes "Yahoo! is throwing their hat in the ring, adding Voice over IP features to the upcoming Yahoo Messenger release. With way too many players on the field, there's bound to be some kind of shakeout coming, right?"

    December 2004: My company manages a massive national sweepstakes to promote AT&T's VoIP service.

    January 2005: SBC Announces purchase of AT&T.

    February 2005: AT&T contacts our company announcing an abrupt pull out of the sweepstakes promotion. No reason cited.

    Today: Good luck finding the link on the new AT&T Web site for their VoIP offering.

    I have interoperability concerns, too.

    Will this new "voip thong" work with my girlfriend's g-string and v-string underwear?

    Why has Yahoo! begun selling these new underwear in a market already crowded with Frederick's and Victoria's secret?
