Sam and Max Online Comic
GameSetWatch is reporting that TellTale Games is releasing Sam and Max comics online in honor of the upcoming game. From the post: "The fine fellows at TellTale Games, ex-LucasArts veterans and responsible for the indie 'Bone: Out From Boneville' PC adventure title, have teamed up with Steve Purcell and released the first Sam 'N Max online comic strip. This felicitous event is to help commemorate the forthcoming Sam 'N Max game titles, of which TellTale comment that '... the agreement [with Purcell] is wide ranging, so you will likely see content in expected (interactive PC game in 2006) and un-expected places (a garish tattoo on Grandma's neck?)'"
Assuming the comic is still online by the time you read this, don't forget to move the mouse cursor over the panels so you can actually see something other than the backgrounds.
Even so, it's not a terribly exciting stand-alone strip. It looks like they're going the route of Girl Genius and basically posting one page of a comic book at a time rather than a series of short episodes.
The summary link just points to some blog. The actual link is at http://www.telltalegames.com/comics/samnmax.
Hooold on. Wasn't Sam and Max cancelled? Oh no wait, it's apparently resurrected. I don't know, maybe it's still cancelled . I'm so confused.
Um, hooray?
-- I have fans? Wow.
Please tell me it's better than that vile cartoon on Fox Kids. I love Sam and Max but theres a limit to how far you can butcher it before it's just not the same duo any more.
I like muppets.
He can butcher it, just because it has the lucas name attached it can be butchered like nothing has been butchered before. Lets just hope it is not a prequel eh.
MMO Quests are like orgasms:
You may solo them, I prefer them in a group.
...my mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas.
Not only was that "me too" post not trolling, it was, in fact, the only appropriate reply.
Bravo!
