The Truth About Suprnova Shutdown
Romeo E. Cabrera writes "You might remember it was exactly a year ago when Suprnova, once the most popular BitTorrent search engine went dark. Today, Suprnova's admin Sloncek, reveals the truth and details, about the events occurred then."
holy cow scuttlemonkey, 8 in a row! that's more than your mom!
...and then we got off the spacecraft, jumped around the moon, planted a flag...blah blah blah. ;-)

Don't tell me you were expecting this
Yeah, it's anecdotal and kind of off-topic, but I want to share...
I was home in Odessa, TX (or as you would probably call it, "the middle of nowhere") and had three separate conversations-- one with old school friends (total hicks, BTW), one with high school age cousins, one with my born again brother in-law-- where they they bragged about how they have dozens or hundreds of downloaded or burned movies. The extremely Christian brother in law bragging about getting a King Kong screener weeks before the movie came out was particularly amusing to me.
I could be wrong, but I walked away with the impression that there's no way the torrent thing can last... When people who're barely computer literate have figured it out, all of these sites are due for a Napster-style crackdown. Suprnova had a good run, but he was smart to get out when he did.
If it was me, I'd have sued this guy, fuck his christmas. :).
You were almost getting my sympathy until that last part (quoted above). Therefore I'm glad it's your xmas that might be getting stuffed when every man+dog pirates, steals and illegally infringically copificates your code
