Visto Founder Blogs about Microsoft Lawsuit

neelm writes "Reported a few days ago, Visto is suing Microsoft over patent infringements. David Cowen, a founder of Visto (and Verisign) has made a recent blog post about the patent involved. He clears up what exactly the patents involved are, but what may be a more interesting read is the patent itself - issued in March of 2004. It might be nice to see Microsoft defending itself from patent litigation I admit, but I'm not sure I want to give validity to this patent."

"When the dust has settled I'm sure Europe, Canada and the rest of the free world will give asylum to the ones of you that decide to depart from the united states of previous freedom."

Oh Lord. Another "I hate the US" post. Tell me "Mr Free world" what country "cuts your hands off for stealing"? "The great firewall of..." What countries are enacting tougher laws? Britian or Australia? Do you think you can pull your head up out of your ass, and see that freedom is being lost EVERYWERE. Even our blessed neighbour to the north, has some rules that would tweak the "I love freedom" people the wrong way. So yes, Mr Free World. You run away to some utopia were everyone's happy, and we all can do whatever we want. Just promise me that when your gloom and doom forcast doesn't come true, or ...perish the thought, things get's better, DON'T COME BACK!! EVER!
