Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVDs
Press the Buttons has word that, finally, a DVD Edition of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show will be available in March. From the article: "While the show-within-a-show The Legend of Zelda saw release at the end of 2005, now the company has announced definitive details regarding the animated Mushroom Kingdom adventures. Twenty-four episodes of the show will be released in a four-disc set on March 28, 2006 and will include the bizarre live action segments featuring Captain Lou Albano as Mario and Danny Wells as Luigi."
GO PTB!
I can purchase another part of my childhood.
Now all that's missing is Video Power and Captain N.

I only have one vague memory of this show.
I'd want to see a preview before I buy. Maybe it'd be entertaining for my little cousins.

I REALLY hope this is going to have the original 80's pop music track, not the re-done version. I'm not holding my breath though, because I bet it's a legal nightmare to get rights for most of those old songs.
Swing your arms from side to side.
Come on, it's time to go.
Do the Mario!
Take one step, and then again.
Let's do the Mario, all together now!
You got it! It's the Mario! Do the Mario!
Swing your arms from side to side.
Come on, it's time to go.
Do the Mario!
Take one step, and then again.
Let's do the Mario, all together now!
Come on now. Just like that!
I was in college at the time, and I still thought Captain Lou Albano was great as Mario.

I've got three episodes of a SMB story told using flash sitting on my HDD. It's very good... ...but the story doesn't finish in three episodes, and I haven't the faintest idea where I got them from. Anyone heard of this? I'm sure they've made more by now and I'd like to see the rest :-)
Repton.
They say that only an experienced wizard can do the tengu shuffle.
I think my favorite mario cartoon was the Super Mario 3 cartoons they had on saturday mornings on like NBC or whatever. I think it was somehow related to the Captain N series. Anyways i have fond memories of waking up and watching those episodes in the winter of 1992 or therabouts. It's for that reason that I shun the current mario's italian accent (he was from brooklyn, obvs) and the princess's name is Toadstool not Peach.
I miss the 90's sooooo much.
Amazon UK also sell select episodes from the first season for DVD players capable of playing region 2. The discs are reasonably cheap at £2.99 and £4.99 respectively.
Seriously, Yahoo has made the shows available legally for free. Why would you pay money for free content?
I mean, this isn't like P2P vs CDs here. They made the content available for free LEGALLY.
