I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea for Ubuntu to switch to AWN or similar as a default program management interface? Especially since Win7 is going to have a mac-esque dock.
You're so cool for using that dollar sign in M$. I've never seen anyone do that before, never in nigh on 30 years, it's so cool and original. What's next for you friend, juxtaposing capitalized nonsense against pictures of cats?
It's pretty clear to me that Netflix is primarily digitizing their less-demanded (WKRP in Cincinatti, Peter Davison Dr. Who episodes, etc) titles so as to clear the physical media of those titles out of inventory. That way they can focus their labor and capital on acquiring, maintaining and distributing the titles that are in much higher demand (transformers, pirates of the carribean, eccleston Dr. Who episodes, etc). Regardless, if they can come out with a $100-150 streaming set top box, I'll be the first in line to get it.
$60/mo for that many minutes, unlimited data, and 250 texts is an extremely reasonable price. If you disagree, you really are an apple-hating troll.org/blog. It's gonna be reeeeally hard to keep myself from dumping like $700 to switch and get this thing right away.
Only on slashdot would someone say the NHL is doing well. Any hockey fan from somewhere where it actually snows will tell you that the NHL should CONTRACT and not EXPAND.
Look, I love firefox, but I can't really think of anything wrong with regular-ass bookmarks. I have no idea why they need to be in a database of any sort. This seems like a bloat feature to me.
Possibly. I am going to get it (eventually), but I make above-average money and have no kids or anything. I think most consumers expect it to drop in price like other cell phones, IE the razr which was once rediculously priced but now is handed out willy-nilly. Whether that happens or not is yet to be seen, since Apple has no intention of being a typical mobile phone manufacturer.
This reminds me of sports drafts. For example, the Celtics are vying for the worst record in the NBA this year, and if they get it I'll be glad because they will have a high chance of getting the #1 draft pick. So it's just as fun to watch them toil and lose games.
I did a quick google and it looks like nobody has tried to play Doom 1 or 2 on Vista yet. Kinda depressing from a "state of kids today" standpoint. Hopefully the newer source ports with opengl work fine.
I don't think you'll necessarily NEED a data plan, since it will run off WiFi as well. Just means you can only web browse from a hotspot, and you better download those google map directions before you hop in the car.
Okay you nerd, geek, dork, slimey, jerk-off assholes, you've finally crossed the line. I'm simply shocked at the that in a matter of life and death you would even think to equate the importance of this piece of software that less than.005% of the population has heard of with someone's LIFE. And don't tell me about how this article wouldn't be up if it wasn't for the software. It's common moral and journalistic decency and respect to simply report the facts and allow people to jump to their own conclusions. I think I'm going to request to have my login deleted and boycott this site. I do not want to generate ad impression revenue to support you scummy dickless douchebags and your fanatical linux agenda anymore.

Didn't RTFA yet, but they shoulda co-lo'ed that shit
More open social networks -> More sexual predators
Isn't that when Megaman 2 takes place?
Someone's going to make the obligatory "transfer lifetime subscriptions" comment and annoy me.
I won't buy Einhander 2 until they let me transfer the lifetime subscription from my Einhander 1!!!!!
I'm not gonna drink another coca-cola until they drop the price back down to a nickel!!!

They should also bring back the Whale.
Care to elaborate? Are you talking about networking bookmarks directly thru firefox?

Hopefully this is a prelude to compatibility with a certain phone running MacOS..
Hey make sure don't forget to mention linux

Well gee, maybe if you read the article you'd know why, and wouldn't have to resort to blanket statements.

Rotaxaaaaane! You don't have to put on the red light!
Not at all... go read the wikipedia article on the Sports Guy.
Research by a guy named Ewing. Could we call this the Ewing Theory?

How's the weather up there on you guys' pedestals?
