China to Build World's First "Artificial Sun"
cletuii writes to tell us the People's Daily Online is reporting that China is planning on building the world's first "artificial sun" device. From the article: "The project, dubbed EAST (experimental advanced superconducting Tokamak), is being undertaken by the Hefei-based Institute of Plasma Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It will require a total investment of nearly 300 million yuan (37 million U.S. dollars), only one fifteenth to one twentieth the cost of similar devices being developed in the other parts of the world."
Break even will never occur with a Tokamak.
Need to use pressure,radiation and heat.

In the end, it will be one country less that we GIVE insane amounts of money to... which in the end, the totalitarian government or the "revolutionaries" go and take anyway, and then our retarded charities go and send more money. Have you ever heard the saying "Give me a fish and I'll have ONE meal, but TEACH me to fish, and I'll have a meal every day of my life"... this is what America and other Coalition participants are working for - to take the totalitarian government out of power and industrialize these nations - making them self sufficient in the long run.

I really don't understand the american philosophy...
you* say others shouldn't have weapons of mass destruction - while building and maintaining them yourselves. (including biological an chemical weapons)
you* say they should not have such prisons - and you have them yourself.
you* say their government is not allowed to terrorize their poeple - while ignoring the things your "government" does to you.
i think you*'re both of the same kind...
and by the way: isn't the fact that your group of poeple can decide for yourself what to do and what not - something very closely related to freedom - the main reason why poeple have their distinct countries?
finally i want to say that i would not even wonder if bin laden still were a top special agent of the NSA in the big plan of creating FUD to make american populace do and accept everything...
i really wish, the usa would stop al this crazy shit and return to doing stuff they can be proud of again. and i guess top quality education and support for science would solve stupidity in 1-2 generations years.
