Asynchronous Requests with JavaScript and Ajax

An anonymous reader writes "I rarely read an entire article about a single object, especially one that is this simple. However, you will use this object over and over again in each page and application that you write that uses Ajax. This article shows you how to create XMLHttpRequest instances in a cross-browser way, construct and send requests, and respond to the server."

So now Slashdot is accepting tutorials for submissions? Sure this may be useful to some people, but they can Google it. If Slashdot started accepting more tutorials, there wouldn't be any space for actual news.

If this is the case, can someone submit a story of tuturial on how to compile and install various distros of Linux on my PC?

Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
