Senate Bill To Prohibit Extra Charges For Internet
xoip writes "A report in the The New York Times states that 'Senator Ron Wyden, Democrat of Oregon, will introduce new legislation today that would prohibit Internet network operators from charging companies for faster delivery of their content to consumers or favoring some content providers over others.'"
I thought Republicans believed that government shouldn't interfere, that the power of federal government was limited, and that it should only be employed when necessary. But once again, we see that they are eager to regulate anything that they can get their greedy mitts on. What hypocrites.
I'll bet dollars to donuts that this guy's getting a kickback from some corporation (GOOG? MSFT?) that stands to benefit from this law. Like they say in the movies, follow the money.
