Maybe Slashdot is scared someone will sue them for patent infringement, if they start editing for punctuation, content, and clarity.

Hi I'm a slashdot editor and I dont actually read any of the shit that comes through here I wrote a perl script that submits random stories from /tmp/submissions/ and thats pretty much it we play airhockey all day when we bother to come into the office and the rest of the time we take calls from companies to pimp their stuff on the front page of slashdot for a little pocket cash half the submissions that come through actually look pretty good until we get our paws on them and destroy the grammar and punctuation and dont forget to sign up for the pay-for-new-stories thing its very cool AAAAAAAGH.
