PayPal Brings Mobile Payments To U.S.

An anonymous reader writes "PayPal is bringing the eastern use of the cellphone as a payment method to the United States. The company's mobile service aims to use secure text messages as a payment method for direct-marketing initiatives and other 'on-the-spot' mercantile opportunities."     Just what we need, something to encourage Americans to make impulse purchases. As if we're not already enough of a consumerist impulse buying materialistic society already.

    Off course they are not a bank... Paypal terms are fine by me: If they want to terminate my paypal account because I did a chargeback, I dont give a rat's ass...

    They are not a bank: dont use them as a bank.
