Now hopefully, they ban all patents. People shouldn't have the right to own an idea because it's better if everyone can use the ideas that people come up with. Come to think of it, why allow people to own anything? Who needs property rights?

Hello, my European brethren. An American here just writing in to let you know that regardless your stance on software patents, Smart cars, and your cozily corrupt relationship with Iraq's former head of state, we as Americans living in the greatest country on Earth, are still better than you.

Oh, and just for the record, I just got back from a trip to your quaint little continent and I must say your smug delusions of superiority are utterly laughable. Case in point, your cities remind me more of Mexico than a modern first world industrialized country. Literally, a few times I almost thought I was in some turd world shithole, particularly in France. Paris is a dirty, nasty, narrow-streeted farce of a city.

Nary a city in any of the countries I visited were anywhere close to the grandeur and splendor of say, New York or Miami. None of your countryside evoked the awe and intrinsic joy experienced speeding through the turns and enjoying the spectacles of our storied route 66.

The EU fails as a society. Please start over.
