The Pornographers vs. The Pirates

conq writes "BusinessWeek has a piece on how pornography is again leading the way and showing Holywood how to fight back against piracy. From the article: 'Some producers of porn are starting to share revenues from online movies with the distributors of their DVDs, who might otherwise feel endangered by digital distribution online. Bolder yet, one large studio is allowing fans who buy movies online to burn them from their computers onto DVDs, with some protections included, of course.'"

Isn't that the whole reason we watch porn, because the same woman every night bores us!?

You're on Slashdot, you insensitive clod. It's because no woman any night bores us.

I thought I was going to see some tech; how the porn guys had come up with some new DRM scheme that actually didn't get in the paying customer's way or something.

Instead, I slog through one of my least favorite sites (Businessweek is Satan's tool) to find out the pornographer's secrets:

    Sue 'em

Jesus, we sure are getting a lot of non-stories these days. Did the /. editors give up on being nerds? Is this now "news for businessmen, stuff that matters to the Capitalist?"

One of the blurbs at the bottom of the page last week had me wondering - "There are more important things than money, but they won't go out with you unless you have some"

This artcile clinches it. That, and the "web 2.0" look (Jesus but I fucking hate this new CSS look. I'm going to have to check this "digg" place out. Does it suck too?)
