Generating Reports from Access and Excel Files?

Nobody on SlashDot cares about client/server Access+Excel spreadsheet program development! And the obvious answer is "Use Visual Basic, dumbass!"

So let's just quietly kill this embarrassing topic before it becomes a blight upon SlashDot. [It's obviously a Microsoft plant anyway!]
