Intel Launching 'Merom' Notebook Processor
Hans Pecheston writes "Merom, Intel's notebook processor, will be joining in the festivities at their upcoming launch event. This chip will continue to use the Core 2 Duo brand and should display additional improvements in performance and power consumption over the current chips. Intel has already begun to ship Merom processors to its PC customers and systems with Merom should begin to appear around the end of August."
"They will be announced in a new line-up of MacBook Pros."
Oh joy!
More overpriced Intel Mac lemons!
More bogus Intel marketing compiler SPEC scores for Jobs to lie about! Can he outdo the lies he got caught telling last year?
Stay tuned...
I know this will be irrelevant to those of you who choose to drool over technical advancements regardless of any moral implications, but I for one will not be buying any more Intel products. Intel has a long history of investing in Israel, thus providing a crucial pillar of economic support to a brutal, racist, colonial regime. The billions of dollars sent by US taxpayers to fund the Zionist war machine are already an outrage -- so I will not support Israel further with what remains in my wallet. I hope some of you will at least consider this option as you wonder what to do about the latest Israeli crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.. You are not powerless -- what you choose to buy does have a big impact in the long run.
