Worst Ever Security Flaw in Diebold Voting Machine
WhiteDragon writes "The folks at Open Voting Foundation got their hands on a Diebold AccuVote TS touchscreen voting machine. They took it apart (pictures here), and found the most serious security flaw ever discovered in this machine. A single switch is all that is required to cause the machine to boot an unverified external flash instead of the built-in, verified EEPROM."

That's funny, because people who might actually know about, researchers, people who have looked at diebold internal documents, etc, have a different viewpoint, that it IS built with intentional back doors IN ORDER to manipulate the vote. On purpose. Banana Republic action, just higher tech. It's been covered here before and you can go research it, so I am not going to be bothered to go dig up links for you. Keep up the wishful thinking that your vote matters or is even counted accurately anymore-unless you are a fascist, a regime supporter, one of those who "support" the coup plotters and their loony-tunes end times scenarios and unlimited clash of the civilizations and terror war without end and getting to have a full bore police state "for our security", then of course your vote is counted, probably at least twice.
Not trying to be smarmy, but your statement is showing more than a little naievete on this subject. Look around, we've been hijacked. It hasn't been "business as usual" for several years now.

A slow quiet one, but a coup none the less. And the ones who did it are going for broke, and they have already proven they will lie, cheat, steal and kill whenever and however they want to. Like I said, the opening days of a big banana republic.
This is something you take serious or ignore because the reality doesn't fit a preconceived meme that "it couldn't happen here so therefore it just can't or hasn't or won't".
BTW, you can't be too many elections away from using the same or similar machines, the Fascist Feds have made that happen with the "motor voter" law and some others. They pay BIG MONEY to have diebold machines put in, very few if any states or areas will hold out for too long now. Enjoy your old fashioned semi legit voting while you can, I already live where the vote was *obviously* hijacked with diebold machines. Beyond obvious.
Previous to diebold-pre and post polling data was always pretty accurate, reflected the outcome. Post diebold statewide-pre and post polling didn't reflect the "official" election results. This is going back as far as polls were ever taken. Gee, wonder why that is?
Somehow, I am not convinced this is a "coincidence", even though the fascists and deniers keep insisting it was, or that ALL the previous accurate polls were just "lucky shots" or something.

It wasn't because of vote fraud, it was because your candidate was a JOKE. So much of a JOKE, in fact, that he couldn't beat the current JOKE in office. Your only platform was "ABB" and people still voted for your sorry asses because GWB is such a JOKE. It wasn't the voting machine's fault. It was yours. Stop making excuses.

And people could be commiting crimes so we should wiretap everyones phone calls, place cameras everywere, make them use a national ID card to enter any building so we can track thier locations. Male them file a travel plan whenever they take a trip over 50 miles away so we know they aren't speeding, commiting axe murders or hit and runs along the way. Maybe force the instalation of drug and alcohol testing machines on every car so we cna make sure they don't drive under the influance.
There is a fine line between putting guards in place to stop a person from breaking a law and becoming a police state. It apears that we are attempting to make police states out of the possitions that we expect not to make our lifes a police state. When do we comprimise freedom for security and when do we expect those that aren't free to guard our freedoms. Sure some checks have to be in pace, but we have to make sure we don't go overboard.
