Smash Bros Brawl Creators Hint at Sonic

Wowzer writes "Nintendo hopes that Solid Snake's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii will encourage other publishers to allow their characters to join the Smash Bros. line-up, and is already actively negotiating for the rights to include at least one or two other non-Nintendo character. The plot thickens when Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto say that 'Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog is the character that Smash Bros. fans have requested the most.' This begs the question, which non-Nintendo characters are most likely to appear?"

I like Yoshi and all, but his character SUCKED on the origional Super Smash Bros. I'm not gonna ask them to bring him back, that's for sure.

I wouldn't mind seeing Leeroy Jenkins in there. . . maybe the cast of FF1, Fighter, BlackMage and Ninja would be pretty awesome. Again some of Capcom's characters would be pretty sweet, someone mentioned Gem Fighter SD style chars. . .In Fact, I wouldn't mind seeing Nintendo, Capacom, and SNK, to collaberate, like maybe making the "funny, non serious" Smashbros style, then the more serious Capcom VS SNK VS Marvel kind of thing.
