GO3 Electronic Entertainment Expo To Replace E3?
dowlingw writes "With the recent announcement that E3 has been downsized, a similar high-profile event, GO3 Electronic Entertainment Expo 2007 is being held in Perth, Western Australia and promises to showcase products and services from vendors worldwide, especially those in the South-East Asia region. It also looks like everyone might get a similar event closer to home."

E3 has always been and will always be the primary North American event for publishers,developers,and distributors to meet and sign deals. The vast, vast, vast majority of game developers in NA are in LA and SF/San Jose.
There is no fucking way all of us are getting on planes and flying all the way to fucking Perth or anywhere else just because we as a industry have decided to stop wasting money on booth babes and large displays for the benefit of a few thousand game fans who managed to land themselves tickets for E3.
Back in the mid to late 1990s before everyone was on the Web, E3's displays were a rare opportunity to see what everyone was doing. Now, it is a wasteful and needless expense. Fanboys can just watch previews on the Web for upcoming games and visit their local strip clubs for their 'babe' needs.
Your so unimformed...The Perth Convention centre is heavily booked...I suggest you check your facts instead of only using media as your only source of information. it is booked most weekends GO3 is happening...it is for Developers, export ers, (to Asia) 7 then 2 days ope to the public...so open your fkn mind....Oh...Ive read your site...how can I ask you t open your mind, after seeing who you are
