Charge in 5 minutes, Drive 500 miles?

ctroutwi writes "In the wake of rising gasoline costs there have been plenty of alternatives seen on the horizon. Including Hybrids, Biofuels, fuel cells and battery powered all electric cars. CNN has recently posted a story about a company (EEStor) that plans on offering Ultra-Capacitor storage products. The claim being that you charge the ultra-capacitor in 5 minutes, with approximately 9$ (~$.45 a gallon) of electricity and then drive 500 miles."

    Doesn't matter they are worthless there anyways. I emailed because my new DHCP lease from Verizon was blocked from posting on slashdot.. The person in charge was an asshole and told me "tough titties" and he was not going to do anything and I should not be such a troll. I had the lease for 25 minutes, never had that IP address before. WTF!!! (10 minutes with a proxy plugin in firefox and I was around the BS, but it's still crappy.

    Slashdot is gone way downhill. I am not renewing my subscription with this place because the people working here are assholes who dont want to be disturbed from their minesweeper tourneys.
