MPAA Ignores Usenet, Goes After Bittorrent
mjeppsen writes "The Motion Picture Association of America is turning a blind eye towards movie piracy on Usenet, going after torrent link sites instead. PC Magazine says it is because the studios are in bed with GUBA, who is also shilling downloadable movies for the MPAA at a premium price."
Maybe if someone does crack down on sites peddling stolen software and hollywood movies like 'the pirate bay' then we can get back to using bit-torrent for whats its good for, distributing klarge installs of free software, software demos and other information that is shared legally.
Or are people here just annoyed because they might get caught red handed engaged in copyright infringement?
if you want commercial non free software, you pay for it. ditto movies and music, its not complex folks.
Is the second rule "troll on those you don't like" and the third "don't feed the troll"?
