IE7 Released As High-Priority Update

jimbojw writes, "Internet Explorer 7 was finally released this morning and is available via automatic update or download from Microsoft." And an anonymous reader notes stats on IE7 and FF2 downloads, adding: "Looks like FF2 is already outnumbering FF 1.5, while IE7 is having a hard time to find followers. Will today's release as a high-priority, force-fed update fix this issue?" The sans.org stats site will be updated throughout the day, so perhaps we'll get an indication.

Will today's release as a high-priority, force-fed update fix this issue?

Seriously? Forc fed? How about the fact that by default Firefox also forces it's updates on the user? Which in my case was catastrophic because Firefox 2.0 is the most unstable release I've ever used of Firefox. Tabs not switching when I click on them after a while, keyboard focus broken which after a while forces me to restart the browser because any key typed to enter text on a web page is somewhow sent to the text search box at the bottom, even tough I didn't even ask for it to be displayed, right-click menus that are blank (when all the other right-click menus in all the other running aps are working fine). Seriously, I haven't seen IE7 yet, but I don't remember prefering a previous version of IE to the current one. Which is not the case with Firefox 2.0.

On a side note, what's with the retarded way Firefox still handles bookmarks? It's sooooooooooo Netscape 2.0. Overwrite bookmarks when one has the same name as another, please! Seriously. How am I suppose to organize my bookmarks on a website when they all have the same name? Rename then of coruse! But Firefox doesn't provide ANY feedback whatsoever that a bookmark has that name. It simply adds the new one with the same name. At least IE asks me "Do you want to overwrite?" and then I go no and change the name. Ideally a note on the dialog would say that there is already a bookmark with that name.
