Walkman Creator Leaves Sony
Gammu writes "Nobutoshi Kihara, the engineer behind the Walkman, has left Sony. In the late seventies, one of the co-chairman of Sony, Morita, requested the audio division create a portable tape player capable of playing his operas while he was on transpacific flights to the US. After less than a year, the Walkman was released to the public and revolutionized the music industry. Read about the development of the first Walkman at Low End Mac."
PS3 a dud?
PS3 debacle?
Oh god! I'm sorry, but who the hell do you think is going to take anything you say seriously outside of the poor sods who hang around in Zonk anti-Sony FUD articles with inane crap like those comments.
There is PS3 launch hysteria going on in Japan right now. And people are actually camping out over a week in advance for the November 17th US launch. The PS3 is virtually silent, runs cool, amazing free online play has already begun, 1080p 60fps games right at launch, people are already installing Linux on their PS3s to setup ultimate home media centers,...yeah poor little Sony. Maybe they can come up with something cool with the PS4...
Come on guy, get a clue. You sound like some poor clown talking about BSODs in Windows XP from stuff you heard on Slashdot...
