Spam Volume Jumps 35% In November

gregleimbeck writes "Spam volume soared another 35% in November, an e-mail security vendor said Thursday, and the month saw spam tactics that reduced the efficiency of traditional anti-spam filters. 'There's been a huge increase in spam volume,' says David Mayer, a product manager at IronPort Systems, 'from 31 billion spams a day on average in October 2005 to 63 billion in October 2006. But in November, we saw two surges that averaged 85 billion messages a day, one from Nov. 13 to 22, the other from Nov. 26 to 28.'"

You are cordially invited to attend the #shroomery 4th Annual Ripper Memorial on January 12, 2007. Please join us and pay your respects.

Brandon loved life and always tried to live it to the fullest. Whether online or in person, Brandon had his own unique way of doing things. He had a huge passion for fast cars and computers. If you knew Brandon, he had probably worked on your computer to make it run better (or at least that's what he made you believe). Brandon's love for these two things was only exceeded by his love for the people closest to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer a shoulder to cry on, or give in whatever way he could.

I personally think it's more to do with the increase in global warming and the decreasing number of pirates.
