SCALE 5x Opens For Registration

An anonymous reader writes "SCALE 5X, the 2007 Southern California Linux Expo, has opened for attendee registration. Early bird registration runs through January 24th. Join us for over 40 seminars and tutorials. Presentations from Chris Dibona, Ted Haeger, Don Marti, and more! Expo floor will include exhibits by IBM, Dell, Google, Krugle, Ingres, Trolltech, and others. SCALE 5x will be held in Los Angeles, CA on Feb 10-11, 2007."

    It's been a while since "News for nerds. Stuff that matters." was relevent. Hell even "Don't fear the penguins" is relevent today. /.is getting better

It took 8 mintues for the first comment to appear. I think that is saying something. I'm not sure it's saying "/. is getting better".

    Who the heck is Trolltech? A technology company that specializes in developing mythical anthropomorphic races? Sounds like we're in trouble... Slashdot better add more members to the mod pool!

      Trolltech makes QT which is the widget set in KDE.

      TrollTech develops QT which is used for most KDE based apps.

      Trolltech is a company that is mostly known for making the Qt widget set, which KDE is based off of (along with thousands of other programs). http://www.trolltech.com/ for more information.

    Someday I'd like to have a job that allowed me to go to OSS conventions, and work with Linux as my desktop OS at work. Sadly, I'm stuck going to proprietary-windows-crap conventions and making the world a more evil place... all while using XP. Woe is me. -olly
