If it is that good of an idea, hopefully you wouldn't just give it away. Would it be a 'duh' moment? Yes. But I doubt someone coming up with a brilliant idea will fail to realize the potential of an idae.
Okay, you do that. Preferably on the chin though - I have a date tomorrow night and a black eye would be troublesome.
Anyone who contributes has decided they are okay with it. So what - it is their idea, not yours.
If this was a report about Ubuntu brainstorm, pretty much the same thing, it would be a glowing review? Why can a for profit company not employ the same techniques?
Here is the real question though - If the MPAA is an agent of the rights holders, and they are offering these files... is downloading them still illegal?
In my mind, X-2 will forever sit in the same realm as Mystic Quest... as a blasphemy to all that is FF. It should have been named "Yuna's Hot Pants Adventure!!!!" anyway.
>>>So the Thread Building Blocks are Intel's attempt to insert a stable layer of abstraction between the programmer and the processor so that code scales less painfully with the number of cores.
They found a way to make the computer be able to determine how to use its many CPU cores automagically when you compile a program. It is cool, since it is really to figure out how to share a given workload 16 even ways.
So, let me get this right. In order to promote Linux (and defeat MS at their game) we first have to sell a whole bunch of these digital media players (and thus defeat Apple at their game)?
No, you are missing the point. He had to use the monster PCs for the ones running vista just to get it on the web. The Ubuntu lappy runs fine without a supercharger...
Oh come on, self righteous defenders of Linux! I love my Linux, but take a joke already. If you don't know what sarcasm is, you obviously haven't been here that long.
1. Wait for someone to make a joke at Linux's expense
2. Blast 'em!
3. Completely ignore your sense of humor's pleading, from inside the locked closet, that it is a joke.
4....
5. Karma!
In all honesty, the computer will probably have to be more expensive after installing Linux, since there is very little crapware that Dell can load on there making $2 a pop. With a Windows license around $30 and 15-20 programs/trial offers/annoying pop-ups, Dell would probably have to up the price substantially to cover the new cost of support (not to mention the new support callers asking how to install iTunes).
I should clarify: I mean someone step up and actually dare him in a press release - basically make a big stink over it. It is one thing to post something in a forum populated by linux users, it is another thing to write him an open letter and put it in a well established IT journal.
My only counter argument is: Why has nobody called his bluff? If the *nix community is sure that there are no violated patents, shouldn't they pose the challenge to Balmer, basically daring him to take it to court?
Actually, I doubt it matters. If they have a deal in place, and they legally upload to Joost, I am sure they will include commercials. They are banking that the open tap means that viewers will watch the easily available copy with commercials instead of pirating one just to take the commercials out.

So you run around punching people in the face for what you consider stupidity? That is an odd kind of superhero...

Because a GSM phone won't work on a CDMA network.
gtkpod works fine for me. The only thing you must get rid of is you DRM'd songs.
Or, you can just install that stuff...

Well, that will be easy.
I have used Exaile as well, and think Listen is a little more on point. Personal preference.
Listen is a good Amarok clone that is GTK (and a believe less of a resource hog). http://www.listen-project.org/
Maybe by then I can afford a PS3 to play it on.
I guess the RIAA wins... I'll just have to go back to BitTorrent...
Nah, they will just be glad they can swipe it, but it in Vista, and then claim Linux is infringing upon their patents.

If you want cookies, start using IE.

I suggest telling the intern doing this. He was already going to be fired as soon as it was found out he's porking the VIP's daughter.
