Time Warner Cable Runs Out of HD DVRs

jalvear writes "According to TV NewsChannel 9 in Syracuse, NY, Time Warner Cable said that they have run out of HD digital video recorder (DVR) boxes. Apparently, there's a shortage of HD DVRs because the company that makes the boxes have been 'overwhelmed by requests for them.' Seems like almost everyone has bought an HDTV during the holidays and wants to watch the Super Bowl in HD format."

Not everyone bought an HDTV :P

I still have my old 36" non flat screen old ass CRT. I think the most advanced input I have is an svideo cable :) Its not that I dont want one, its that the room with the TV has wall to wall windows, leaving me only space above the fireplace mantle, or walling up the windows. That and they are still somewhat too expensive for me, granted if I stopped buying bicycles (I have 4 mtn bikes, each well over $2k), I may be able to afford one :)
