Manhunt 2 Confirmed for Wii

Of all the licenses I expected to see on the Wii, the ultra-violent Manhunt title was not one of them. Coming to the 'next-gen alternative' trifecta of PSP, PS2, and Wii this summer is Manhunt 2 (not to be confused with the Sierra Manhunter adventure game series). The followup to the violent Rockstar title from 2003 will 'push game design and storytelling forward', sticking close to the original's dark suspense/stealth motifs.

I am about 50 percent with you right now. If Nintendo doesn't get one of the big franchises out by middle of the year I will be in complete agreement. And probably will dump my Wii on eBay or a closet and pick up a PS3 now that BluRay has won the format war and 1080p TV prices are falling like mad.

The lack of games for the first half of 2007 must be the reason that I've been seeing Wiis on the shelves at various electronic stores this past week or two. Christmas buying frenzy is over and people are looking at the abysmal release list for the Wii and having second thoughts. Unless you have a bunch of people around your place all the time the Wii is a dreadfully boring console after you have played through Zelda TP.

Wii boxes are everywhere now. Anyone still trying to claim otherwise has as much credibility as the pathetic Xbox fans who use to make up stories last year at the same time about their desperate searches for a 360.

The PS3 shits all over the Wii.

    Right now PS3 owners have:

The greatest online game ever made for a console with Resistance - 40 players, completely lagfree, clans, framerate that never drops no matter how insane what is going onscreen, http://myresistance.net/index2.php for online leaderboards/stat tracking, dynamically scalable maps, insanely easy one button matchmaking game setup, and soon new maps as downloadable content.

The insanely fun Motorstorm demo on PSN with the real game about a month away - early report are going gaga over the game with Sony scoring again with another major title using dedicated servers for completely lagfree online play.

All free, no idiotic 50 dollar a year charge.

1080p 60fps GT5 demo - complete with online stat tracking

God of War 2 just about to be released - looks better than any game on the Wii or 360.

Downloadable games like Gripshift, BlastFactor, and soon Flow on PSN

Virtua Fighter 5 was just released.

    Yeah, poor PS3 owners!

We could be playing an old GameCube Zelda with some Wiimote controls bolted on and Wii Sports!

    Heh, pathetic.
