waired writes "It seem that a trend has begun in the music industry after Steve Jobs essay. Now a senior Yahoo chief has spoken out in favor of Apple CEO Steve Jobs' call for major labels to abandon digital rights technology (DRM). It points out that consumers are getting confused and that the Microsoft DRM "doesn't work half the time"."

The very idea of "managed rights" flies in the face of... what it truly means to be American.

Good thing Iraquis don't count. Wouldn't want to manage THAT nation's "rights"...

    small nit... spelling nazi.
'noone' is NOT a real word! No deserving dictionary includes 'noone' as a valid word (unless it's a name, such as this person...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noone).

Now if I go to Merriam-Webster dictionary (http://209.161.33.50/dictionary) and I type in 'noone' I get this back...

    no one
    One entry found.

    no one

    Main Entry:
            no one
    Function:
            pronoun
    Date:
            before 12th century

    : no person :

or from wiktionary (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:Search?sear ch=noone) I get a list of things somehow similar to noone, but no 'noone'

I'm thinking 'noone' is a corruption of the much better understood and used term 'no one'.

Just to be a bit more through (read that as crass!) I did find 'noone' in the urban dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=no one)

    noone any1 someone
    1. noone
            40 up, 8 down

Meaning "no one". Perhaps inspired by the word "nobody".

Most commonly used by people who acquired their literary skills in online chat rooms.

NYDude447: Your a dumbass! Noone with a haff a brain culd hate that flick! Their are wurse movies.

DownTownSam: Read a book you semi-literate meathead!

    2. noone
            32 up, 3 down

The incorrect combination of "No one". Also, an older English spelling of the the word "noon".

Noone wants to be my friend.

I'd rather not be thought of as a 'dumb ass' , YMMV
