The Wii - Is the Magic Gone?
Computer And Video Games asks the tough question: is the Wii's magic gone? After the flurry of excitement around the launch, lackluster ports and a persistent inability for Nintendo to keep units on the shelves has made it hard for gamers to sustain their enthusiasm for the system. It doesn't help that most of the good games slated for this year won't be out for months. In some cases, there's doubt they'll even make it out this year: Reggie Fils-Aime appears to be backpedaling on Metroid Prime 3 by Christmas, which would be a shame. GigaGamez has additional commentary. Are you still as excited about the Wii as you were when it launched?
Well, I was going to whole-heartedly endorse your post. I'm just waiting until I can buy one. And I still do endorse the post.
But my, that's an angry sig isn't? Why do we have to hate on the South? I don't hate on the North except when Northerners come down here and complain about the weather. Or about the fact that Richmond isn't as big as NYC. In particular, what's with the claim that the Founding Fathers were all northerners? What, Thomas Jefferson doesn't count? George Washington doesn't count? Need I go on?
Plus the small point of fact that the first permanent British settlement on the continent was, you know, Jamestown. In, you know, Virginia. Which is, you know, in the South.
Seriously - can't we just all get along? And play the Wii?
The Southern Baptist Convention has creationism. On Slashdot, we have porn.
Sometime around Christmas I noticed this kind of thing happening. I don't know what caused it, but a very liberal application of Troll, Redundant, Offtopic and Flamebait modifiers started getting thrown around.
The result is I now metamoderate daily as to do my part in stemming the tide of shoddy moderation. I hope you will contribute as well.
I found your OP insightful personally.
Thunderclone: ONE MAN ENTERS! TWO MEN LEAVE! ONE MAN ENTERS! TWO MEN LEAVE!
Yeah I'll start meta-moderating now too.
