XP On 8-MHz Pentium With 20 MB RAM
swehack writes "The guys over at winhistory.de managed to get their Windows XP Professional running on a very minimal box: an Intel Pentium clocked down to 8 MHz with 20 MB of RAM. (The installer won't work with less than 64 MB, but after installing you can remove memory.) The link has plenty of pictures of their progress in achieving this dubious milestone. They deserve a Golden Hourglass award for 'extreme waste of time.' What obscure hardware configurations have you managed to get Windows running on?"
i used thermal compound my cat had silver crap for weeks

But when guys get Linux to run on old hardware with low specs it's testament to how great Linux is? give me a break.
Had the submitter made this comment about getting Linux to run under similar circumstances you better believe the high ups of slashdot would either have edited this tid bit out or rejected the article all together. Oh well, this certainly isn't the first time slashdot has shown it's hypocrisy in a glaring light. Upper management doesn't feel the need to play fair tho they proclaim they're on the winning side by means of logic.
And what's this crap about the "firehose"? Do they expect us to be their moderators too? Don't they get paid to do this job (yes, linux lemmings, cmdrtaco is very rich from your posts. he's not doing this for free or because he believes in the power of linux. he has you guys eating it up as if he does tho)
