Blizzard Confirms New Product, May Be Starcraft 2

darkhitman writes "According to a Kotaku post yesterday, Blizzard has confirmed that they'll announce a new product at their World Wide Invitation in Korea next month. The statement issued by Blizzard verified that they 'do intend to announce a new product [...] next month" and "plan to revisit [Starcraft] at some point in the future,' but did not confirm the rumor that the new game would be Starcraft 2 — but we can certainly hope."

    It doesnt matter if its world of starcraft or starcraft2. The expectations for the sequel of the best RTS ever created are too high to ever be met. They will add 3d graphics (which will suck) and they won't give us a map editor that we can break to near the degree the SC one is.

    I for one am convinced that it will be the biggest let down EVER in gaming history. I dont think the magic of the original SC can ever be recreated, and I'm happy to say no one has lower expectations for SC2 then me so I'm not utterly depressed if it can't compare. (PLEASE PLEASE blizzard I'm giving you the chance to WoW me, please don't let me down!)

    "May Be Starcraft 2"? Yeah, it could also be "Starcraft Karoake Supernova Party" or "Warcraft Artbook Viewer Deluxe."

    Seriously, who the hell put this thing on the front page?
