80 Gig PS3 For South Korea, Slow April for Sony

The South Koreans are about to see the PlayStation 3 launched in their nation, and they're getting a treat the rest of the world will have to wait on: a PS3 with an 80 gig hard drive. Meanwhile, NPD numbers show that the company's games division suffered greatly during April, likely as a result of few titles released during that month. "Though the company saw a bump in PSP sales, Nintendo DS continues to curb stomp the portable PlayStation. More disappointing, however, must have been seeing PlayStation 3 decline in sales of almost 50,000 units between March and April ... If April was tough, May looks bleaker. Karraker wouldn't speculate on sales, but outside of MLB 07: The Show's release at the end of April, there are no first-party releases coming to PS3 in May. In fact, there are only two May PS3 games period: Surf's Up and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Both are multi-platform releases."

    A game so shitty that:

    It can only handle 4vs4 online matches
    No dedicated servers
    P2P networking giving the usual buggy and laggy online play
    Jags everywhere
    Backgrounds smeared out with blur to hide the rendering artifacts
    No more than 5-10 things on screen at once
    Tiny, tiny rooms and corridors to constrain the amount of geometry the 360 can handle
    Unified lighting model stripped out due to the 360 not being able to handle it

    Yeah, golf clap Epic!

    But, hey, they do know how to put out bogus marketing bullshots...

    God how do I love bitter little fucks like you having their pathetic little fanboy lives crushed by Sony.

    Poor baby, Sony is on its way to kicking your console's ass AGAIN! How many times has it been for you loser? Dreamcast? Xbox? Dreamcast 360? Are you going to end up being a three time loser after this gen?

    But perhaps you're right, you pathetic little fanboy, Sony is really hurting this gen:

    The most powerful console by the largest margin in console history - as even Xbox fanboys admitted after last weeks show

    The PS3 hardware manufacturing costs are dropping at roughly the same rate as the PS2 - profitable at the one year mark

    Every single franchise that 115 million and 105 million PS2 and PS1 gamers bought consoles for appearing on the PS3

    And Sony is up against:

    Waggle from Nintendo - Pet Rocks, Disco, and Waggle sub-GameCube graphics and waggle are going to be oh so hot a year from now and on!

    Red rings of death, 50 dollars a year online charges, shitty 360 level graphics!

    Yeah, poor Sony!
