New DX10 Benchmarks Do More Bad than Good

NIMBY writes "An interesting editorial over at PC Perspective looks at the changing status between modern game developers and companies like AMD and NVIDIA that depend on their work to show off their products. Recently, both AMD and NVIDIA separately helped in releasing DX10 benchmarks based on upcoming games that show the other hardware vendor in a negative light. But what went on behind the scenes? Can any collaboration these companies use actually be trusted by reviewers and the public to base a purchasing decision on? The author thinks the one source of resolution to this is have honest game developers take a stance for the gamer."

I still use my two 12MB Hercules "Stingray" Voodoo2 decellerators. They do fine in Doom3. I regret selling my two Quantum3d X-24's I had installed in my all-American DEC Alpha "Ruffian" 164UX. They still sell for no-less than USD 7 wherever available. I find it outstanding how the late 1990's was the greatest time to buy computer hardware that was designed and manufactured in the United States of America. All the corporations, as they exist today, are a result of the New World Order to continue their slaughter of the sheeple. It's all a freak monopoly; even HP is trying to take printers out of the house-hold with their printer services division, even after they ruined the market for home printers.

Still, DEC Alpha and the 21264 DS and CS computers sold under Microway are quite good to this day, and satisfy desktop and server performance. Even Slashdot first was hosted on an ol' DEC Alpha, and the Alpha has been 64-bit this entire time. You AMD and Intel 'tards are late to the party. Besides, I have available already a 128-bit computer running Linux for less than USD 20. You are all late-Late-LATE!
