Jack Thompson Sues Microsoft

An anonymous reader writes to mention that Jack Thompson, in his latest bout of zealotry, has set his sights on Microsoft for their recent release of Halo 3. GameAlmighty has posted the letter to Bill Gates. "Here's the deal, Mr. Gates: Either Microsoft undertakes dramatic, real steps, through its marketing, wholesale, and retail operations to assure that Halo 3 is not sold, via the Internet and in stores, directly to anyone under 17, or I shall proceed to make sure that Microsoft is held to that standard by appropriate legal means. I have done that before successfully as to Best Buy, and I shall do so again as to Microsoft and all retailers of Halo 3."

      Everyone knows Thompson only markets games. His lawsuits are sideshows for excited teenagers and parents to get informed of the hottest new title.
      I call bullshit. MS is only doing this to get street cred with the kids about how "realistic" or "adult" their latest Halo is.

    If only Microsoft, Jack AND the lawyers would just explode, we would all be winners.

    Think about that, the government uses Microsoft products. If Microsoft dies, it will no doubt take us down with it.

    No, you see, when Jack Thompson was in high school he was bullied. Badly. They beat him up regularly, and humiliated him publicly. Yes, this was done even back then.

    One particularly vicious bully forced him to eat dog excrements before his whole class, then he had him repeatedly insult his own mother, under threat of a severe beating.

    In the end, he ordered him to take off his trousers and run along the school corridors, which he did crying and hollering. Then he grabbed him by the neck, bashed his face against a wall and stuck his head into a toilet.

    Then he shit on his face and pissed on him.

    And the last thing little Jack heard before he passed out was the bully saying "Man, that Computer Space thing is COOL".

    So you see, everything has an explanation.
