Microsoft Was Distributing Ubuntu Linux

The page is gone now, but can still — as of this morning — be seen using Google cache. 'Heaven only knows that's true, simply perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. The part Microsoft got wrong is it says the license is "Free" and "No limitations". Actually, the GPL does set some limitations, like what you are responsible to do if you redistribute.'"

Damned if you do, and damned if you don't. The FOSSies whine that MS doesn't "support" (a desperate appeal for funding, one has to assuming) FOSS... but when MS cites Ubunghole as an alternative to paying for a quality OS, the FOSSies go nutzo.

As an aside, the most amusing thing is how people outside the US would rather put up with a pirated copy of Windows than a free (as in worthless) copy of Lunix. So even when competing with free, Windows still wins.
