Did We Really Need Seven New Wonders?
freakxx writes "Seven new 'wonders of the world' have been announced today in a ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal. People throughout the world have voted actively to elect the new 7 out of 21 finalists.
The final lineup is: Chichen Itza, Mexico; Christ Redeemer, Brazil; The Great Wall, China; Machu Picchu, Peru; Petra, Jordan; The Roman Colosseum, Italy; and The Taj Mahal, India. The Pyramids of Giza was the only candidate that used to be among the original seven wonders. Did we really need seven new wonders of the world? Why was this decided via a website poll (pdf) and SMS messages?"
There are more greek myths than roman myths, but the romans are worse than the greeks.

There is no greek wonder of the world. Their greek palaces are not a wonder of the world yet.
But the romans have one of them.
The Colosseum is not a wonder. It's a painful place used by gladiators, killers, slaves, assassins, murders, etc.
Today, Colosseum is half-ruine and half-double-ruine.
The Colosseum is an incomplete building. It's more incomplete than Taj Majal or Angrok.
The romans did never build completely this polemic Colosseum. They did rebuilded over time over another time and so successfully. Not Carbone-14 probe was tested here.

I don't understand why the Statue of Liberty of New York is more worse than the Colosseum of Roma?
