NASA Investigates Possible Sabotage by Worker
mytrip writes "NASA said today it is investigating suspected sabotage of a recorder placed on the shuttle Endeavour for delivery to the space station where it will track physical stresses on the orbiting lab."
Maybe this wasn't a worker breaking the data recorder. Maybe he was just setting it to record some data that they don't want recorded like evidence of climate change.
We've already heard the testimony of top NASA climate scientists who were prevented from talking about their findings and whose reports were actually edited by Administration political hacks with Associates degrees in PoliSci. You think the folks at NASA are just being allowed to go wherever the data takes them?
Think again.

there is a subculture in NASA of pure antisocial losers hiding out as ubertechs at contractors. one flipped and cut a bunch of wires is how I see it.

I've got a beef with Mr. Greg B.. First off, Greg has been deluding people into believing that the sun rises just for him. Don't let him delude you, too. His magic-bullet explanations are in every respect consistent with the school of pushy thought that tends to prevent the real problems from being solved. He holds onto power like the eunuch mandarins of the Forbidden City -- sterile obstacles to progress who censor any incomplicitous allegations. Greg's beliefs manifest themselves in two phases. Phase one: exploit the public's short attention span in order to rip apart causes that others feel strongly about. Phase two: set the wolf to mind the sheep. The take-away message of this letter is that Mr. Greg B. should try being a little more open-minded. Think about it. I don't want to have to write another letter a few years from now, in the wake of a society torn apart by Greg's repressive shell games, reminding you that you were warned.
