LittleBigPlanet to Have Enemies
Media Molecule Producer Pete Wilson has revealed to EGM (as reported by 1up) that LittleBigPlanet's level can have bad guys. "It's funny -- I don't think we actually mentioned this previously, but yes, we will certainly have enemies in the game; I think that's a fundamental part of good gameplay," said Wilson. "They will range from little robots that simply roam from left to right to spectacularly complex beasts that pose quite a challenge." An awesome concept just got cooler.

Can't wait for LBP. I still remember seeing the reaction it got at GDC when it was unveiled for the first time. I've seen very few games get that type of reaction. Maybe the E3 MGS2 trailer was the only one that comes to mind.
5 million PS3s? Are you retarded? Even Sony says that they've only sold 4.4m to retailers. There's an estimated 700,000 sitting on shelves so that makes 3.7m PS3s actually in consumers hands.
I mean, seriously, how fucking dumb are you?
I can't blame the mods. Look at the posting history of that GPP. Nearly every post is a Sony shill post.
2: Oh, you mean this. A game where you make your own levels, and get to play around in someone else's.
3: Hey, I've heard that crap before. "User generated content" on a proprietary platform is... well, how can I say this? All the creativity of Myspace, with the fun of Second Life, AND the amazing community of PS3 fanboys. Somehow that doesn't make me want to go without dinner for a month so I can afford a $700 game console ('cause, you know, you have to actually BUY a game...) any more.
4: Anyone who's complaining about boring game design isn't playing Nintendo, and hasn't ever. Maybe you'll find bad game design for DDR remakes or Quake/Halo clones, but I see plenty of innovation, across the industry, for more than a few years.
5: Single most important reason why user-generated content is a loser -- because if they could do a better job than a random program, they'd be doing it for money.
