Sony to Add TV Tuner, DVR to PS3
pjhenley writes "Sony has announced that they will add digital TV and DVR capabilities to the PS3 in Europe. TV can also be watched on a PSP using 'remote play' over WiFi or via downloaded recordings. 'The new box will feature two 1080p tuners, which utilize the European Digital Video Broadcasting system (DVB-T) -- which should dash any US hopes for the time being. The system will allow you to store recorded broadcasts on your PS3 drive, and also transcode and transfer the saved files to your PSP.'"
should change the title to what mine is.
Sony = Spyware anyways. Now they're going to track what I watch ???? I dont think so!!!!
Will this feature the same fair market value assessment that those idiots did when they intro'd PS3 to the marketplace?
Probably have a subscription fee, a warranty fee, a recorder fee, and add $450 to the price of the console.
For the most part, the 360 just has a big list of shooters in the lineup. Without a doubt, if that's your bag, the 360 is your kit and will probably remain so.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying either is better. Actually personally, I have neither a 360 or a PS3...my PS2 is keeping me plenty occupied still. But I do expect that in a year or so there will be enough games that I want and assuming Blu-Ray is still looking to be dominant at that time, I'll likely get a PS3. But I have no interest in a 360 personally no matter what happens. My PC easily satisfies my gaming needs for shooters.
I find it funny the number of people that are happy with their 360, but keep complaining about the PS3...if the 360 does it for you, enjoy and don't worry about what the PS3 may or may not have.
Did you actually READ my post, or did you just see the word "winning" and assume I meant which system was selling the most? By "winning", I simply meant that most of the games this generation I love have been on the 360. Why the fuck would I care which system sells more?
And don't give me that exclusivity crap, either. I don't care what system a game is released for.
Living With a Nerd
I believe Sony are testing the waters in the UK precisely because they don't care so much about that region. This could move could have serious backlash.
Oh boo fscking hoo. I bet crooked green teeth limey's like you weren't complaining when the dollar was somewhat stronger. Only 5 years ago it was $1.30s to 1 smelly ugly queen's head pound.
You wet lot won't do anything about it. Wake up, it will never change, you pay more for everything because you're a bunch of take-it-up-the-shitter weasels that never act, only cry. Cars: dearer, CDs: dearer, electronics: dearer, food: dearer (generally), petrol (bwahahahaha): much dearer.
Go look at import duty tariffs, and back door taxes you don't see on the receipt. What do you expect with a socialist govt for 3 terms and the highest taxation the country has ever had. You internal costs are far higher. Enjoy that free health care though, hope you don't die of old ages while waiting for a slot.
...under the weight of poor trading imbalances. That's got to count for something, right?
Is it just my observation, or are there way too many stupid people in the world?
Europe is Sony's beta test facility.
and doesn't spend just about all of its money (after graft and corruption) on shit for blowing up other people's shit on their own property.
You've got health care and education.
We just get kicked to the curb when shit happens (as it inevitably does.)
US style capitalism is only good when your gummimnt doesn't give a shit about its citizenry.
