1300 Unopened Fry's Rebate Forms Found In Dumpster

blackmonday writes "The Consumerist is reporting a find of 1,300 unopened rebate submissions in a dumpster belonging to Vastech, a rebate processor hired by Fry's Electronics. Vastech's management blames it on a bad employee."

    $3.50 isn't worth much more than garbage anyway. Probably saved a whole bunch of fatties from blowing it on a bacon double cheeseburger.

    You know, I'm pretty sure that copying an article verbatim and wholesale to embed in your post is a copyright violation. I'm not a real fan of modern copyright by any stretch of the imagination, but that makes even me raise an eyebrow.

    I also realize that the messenger has no logical bearing on the message, but it does strike me as odd that a site which appears to stand proudly on its claimed moral high ground so casually flouts copyright law. Particularly in a case where copyright law isn't even that onerous.

    Also, I believe the Vatican uses Vastech to handle all their "Children's Letters to God" mail.

    Haven't you people had enough of posters like this? Is this OK in your view?

    How about if we said CAIR used Vastech to handle their "Letters to Allah" mail? Oh, no, I'd be a racist for saying something like that. But it's open season on Christianity.
