Indian Software Firm Outsourcing Jobs To US
phobos13013 writes "NPR is reporting Indian software maker Wipro is outsourcing positions to a development office opening in Atlanta, Georgia. Although it sounds good for US job growth, the implication is that firms outside the US appear to be dominating more and more in the global economy, even from developing and underdeveloped regions of the world. Similarly, salaries of IT professionals world-wide are projected to stagnate or possibly fall due to the large pool of qualified applicants in the market today."
You can bet your paycheck they will be looking to hire a gaggle of H1-Bs they've already selected back home.
This ploy is not new.
That's a basic right of every US citizen. If you don't like it, apply for a green card/U.S. citizenship yourself.
Obama likes poor people so much, he wants to make more of them.
Yeah, India is great. A bunch of towel heads that stink (they don't use deodorant) and live in slums are bringing down US IT salaries. Just freaking great. In the USA, we have a higher standard of living, especially for technology jobs. I guess, programmers in the USA should start living in India-like slums with no running water, electricity, etc?
Hell, I just watched a docu on India about a bunch of Indians that think they are the "arian" race. Then I watched at they chopped off the head of some animal and an old lady stood behind a cow as it pissed and held out her hands and caught the piss in her hands then put in on her self and said "it is good for health".
Just what the modern world needs. A bunch of smelly cow worshipers that put cow piss on themselves!
